Dan and Lois Serns | Creative Family Worship
Years ago a Valuegenesis Study was done among our Adventist young people and showed the number one factor for keeping our kids in the church with a vibrant relationship with God was having consistent, interesting, creative family worship. We decided we were going to do that as a family. Our kids are grown now and tell us "That's the best thing you did for us growing up."
So whether you have small children or any age all the way up to teenagers, we'd like to share some tips on how to make Family Worship fun and exciting!
Dr. Mariellen Reiber | Praying for Your Kids
In this workshop we will address some of the most frequently expressed concerns shared by various family members which result in requests for intervention and/or intercessory prayer. We will discuss encouraging stories of God's intervention and explore how to pray more effectively for incredible answers to prayer. There will be an opportunity for those who wish to stay and pray together for our children and families.
Monica Barlow | Talking to My Best Friend!
Whether it's singing, making crafts, or drawing, kids will be experiencing many different ways to learn how to connect with their best friend, Jesus. There are more than 100 creative ways for kids to pray, but they'll only have time to explore a few in this dynamic, hands on workshop!
Monica Barlow | I Can Plan Worship Too!
Kids are never too young to start sharing valuable perspectives on worship. In this workshop they will be learning the basics of family worship before engaging in a think-tank. Once they've come up with their own ideas, the kids will be given a chance to put them into practice.
